Super Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala is the first African to win the women champions League.

Her success came after joining Barcelona from the Chinese Super league.
Oshoala came close to winning the trophy in 2019, but Lyon women humiliate them by 4-1, and Oshoala making history in 2019.
She was the first player for any Spanish team to score in UCL final.
But dreams come to reality in 2021 when she and Barcelona were crowned champions of the UEFA women champions league.
Barcelona defeat Chelsea by 4-0 and Asisat Oshoala came on in the second half to for Barcelona feminine.
She made history as the first Nigerian to win the women champions league, the first African, and the first Barcelona and Spanish team player to score in the final.
Oshoala expressed how difficult the journey was for her, from the hub of Ikorodu to Gothenburg.
“I hope this will continue to inspire other young girls in Africa and motivate everyone around the world that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to and work hard for it.” she told BBC Sports.
