Ottasolo Tourney: Sunshine Stars Pick Valuable Victory Over Smart City FC

Substitute Azeez Ajagbe netted a late goal as Sunshine Stars defeated Smart City 1-0 in the opening day of the 2021 Ottasolo Pre Season Tournament at Legacy Pitch on Monday.

Sunshine Stars have a much-changed squad for the tournament but managed to seal a narrow victory in a game of few chances.

Chinedu Ozor could have have handed the Owena Whales the advantage few minutes into the restart, but his effort from point blank was agonizingly stopped by the goalkeeper.

Smart City also threatened, but it was Owena Whales who eventually broke the deadlock seven minutes from time.
