Rivers United will be looking to continue their perfect start in the NPFL 2020/21 season as guest to Wikki Tourist at the Abubarkar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on Wednesday.
Wikki Tourist played out a goalless draw at home against Plateau United on NPFL Matchday 2 after falling 1-2 to Nasarawa United on Matchday 1, but that has done little to win over worried supporters.
Usman Abd’allah could certainly do with a surprise victory this midweek following last week’s abject display, with Nabil Yarou earning Enyimba FC a 1-0 victory.
If nothing else, TA Stanley Eguma has certainly made United supporters believe in their club again after their decent show in both NPFL and CAFCC.
It is now 5 wins in their last 6 competitive outings for Eguma’s men, and they will be looking to keep the feel-good factor alive.
The “Pride of Rivers” eased to a 3-0 win over Kwara United in their third fixture of the season, while Wikki Tourist were beaten 1-0 by Enyimba FC in their third match of the season.
