Super Falcons and Leicester City midfielder Ashleigh Plumptre has been nominated for PFA WSL player of the month.

The 23 years old Nigerian has been nominated alongside five other player in the Women Super league.
Her presence in Leicester City solidify the defensive midfield of Leicester team.
She also fantastic for the super Falcons in their recent AWCON qualifiers.
Speaking on her international debut She said, “An international debut but more importantly, an opportunity to be amongst a group of people, players and fans who bring culture, expression and togetherness to life.
“A chance to learn from people I never would’ve met if it wasn’t for football.
“A chance to see the happiness it can bring to people by being a part of something bigger than just myself.
A chance to shine light on my purpose in this sport.
“I don’t just play because I enjoy the sport. I have to play for more. I may have good games, I may have poor games.
“We celebrate successes but don’t celebrate the intent we have in pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zones.
“Whatever the outcome, rewards are reaped in going beyond what we thought we were capable of.
